Matthew 6:6-13 reads (KJV)
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
It’s a brand new year and we are all so glad to be here in the land of the living. Glory to God.
As I sat with our Lord and asked Him what to say to you all tonight I heard this song…
He’s sweet I know, He’s sweet I know; Dark clouds may rise and strong wind may blow. I’ll tell the world wherever I go, that I’ve found a Savior; and He’s sweet I know.
And as I heard the song I heard, He’s sweet I know, He’s sweet I know, for the bible says, to pray after this manner. Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. You see “He’s Sweet and I know Him. He’s my Father in heaven. Thus I hallow His name. To hallow means, to make His name bigger than any questions or problems we may have. Yes, I make His name bigger than all my questions and the circumstances I face. Because He’s got you and me in the palm of His hands, we can see Him over the problems that try to keep us in bondage. Hallelujah – Father I exalt your name.
I know that dark stormy clouds may rise. When I feel my life is shipwrecked at sea. When it feels like waters are covering me. When I walk through the waters, you promised me –In Isaiah 43:2 When thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walk through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Because of your Words, Father I see the light.
I know strong winds may blow, Father when I can’t see my way clear. When my husband dies and I can’t take care of myself. When one has had a terrible pass that don’t allow them to find a job to feed their family. When I’m in a nursing home and my kids aren’t able to visit me as I wish and I’m crying out as Psalms 42:1-2 & 5 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. HOPE in God!! Yes these are strong winds of trouble, but I have a Savior who watches over me.
Then I remember that You said Father, in Psalms 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” For you have called me in 1 Peter 2:9 to be a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that I should shew forth the praises of him who hath called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.. Because of your Words Father, I can see that, Yes Lord I see that thy kingdom has come, and thy will is being done as we your children look to Jesus. We look to Jesus for our daily bread. Father you sustain us. You are our Source. You are our Portion, our very present help in times of trouble!! Glory this storm shall pass. Hallelujah
So Lord I will tell the world wherever I go – that I’ve found a Savior, who died for me on Calvary’s Cross, and shed his blood for me. Yes, He washed my sins away and He wants to do the same for you, and you, and you.
Come to the cross, bring your sins and take on His righteousness. Be saved and washed in the blood of Jesus. Then you too can say as I declare today.
He’s sweet I know. He’s sweet I know; Every time you think of His goodness to you, He’s sweet – eating your daily bread, He’s sweet. When He forgive you your daily sins and trespasses, oh Glory He’s sweet. The debts He’s forgiven you and how he’s lead us around what the enemy of our soul tries to tempt us with. Lord I know you are great and awesome, thank you so much.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever, amen. Thou art Sweet to my Soul.
