Elder Linda H. King
Elder Linda H. King is a native of Columbus, Georgia. The second of three children of John Hobdy Sr. and Lovenia Patrick both deceased. She accepted her calling at the age of 49.
Elder King became a member of the Crusaders Temple Church of God in Christ, and after accepting her calling in ministry she became a member of “I am five-fold ministry” in Shreveport, LA, under Apostle Jackie Holloway. In 2005, she was licensed as an Evangelist and later in 2005 ordained as an Elder. After living in Shreveport 10 years, she moved back to Columbus, GA and joined Macedonia Christian Ministries under the leadership of Reverend James E. Allen. Elder King was the Leader of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry as well as a member of the Ministerial Staff. Elder King has a wide range of ministry experience and has been called upon to speak at women conferences, minister at many worship services and has eulogized family members.
Now under the leadership of Pastor Don German at IDF, Columbus, Georgia she is over the hospitality ministry. Elder King is a servant that teaches and preaches the Word of God. Elder King is also a teacher and volunteer at Damascus Way Women and Children Shelter as well as the drug and alcohol rehab program at Damascus Way where she ministers every Thursday.
Elder King served in the United States Army for six years. She was employed as a terminal manager for Greyhound in Columbus and Shreveport, Louisiana for ten years until returning to Columbus in 2006.
Elder King is a graduate of Spencer High School and went on to attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama. She majored in Criminal Justice and became a licensed insurance agent for Coastal State Insurance Company.
Elder King is the proud parent of three daughters, 1 deceased and 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
